We
need the wind after a sloppy wet winter to dry out the soil so that we can
get back into the fields to plant again so that we can become productive
again.
As
the Israelites suffered pain from the wind that carried in their
deliverance, they also suffered pain from change.
We
too, will suffer from the wind that will carry our deliverance,
because we have to press into that pressure that is coming against us in
order to get through the situation at hand. When we press through it, then
there is victory. We can look back on it and see that we grew closer to the
Lord because of it. This is a time that we do not want to harness the Holy
Spirit. We harness Him when we do not put our trust in Jesus.
New
Testament Wind!
So
wind brings the good and the bad.
We
have seasons in our life too. Some are like spring, warm, but we can’t see
much life growing yet. Some seasons are like summer, temperatures are just
right, all the conditions are just right. We can see great things
happening.
Then
there are more seasons, the fall time when
you get to reap from the good and the bad. Sometimes things turn out
differently than what we had planned.
We
could name many things here.
Then
there are seasons like the winter, cold, wet, and sloppy. When our life gets
sloppy, we need the WIND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT to blow over us and dry out our
situation so that we can again walk with confidence to victory.
Our
situation may call for healing, (physical, emotional, spiritual or maybe a
change of attitude.)
My attitude needs a blowing out quite regularly. How about yours?
There
Is A Wind Blowing Across The Land
As
I travel, to other nations, I am seeing the wind of the Holy Spirit blowing
across this land and around the world as never before.
We
can allow that Wind to take us places we have never been before. We can take
the restraints (harness) off the wind so that
it can become a greater power within us or, we can harness that wind and
rein it in so tight that we disable that awesome, Holy Spirit power.
A
Dream, Riding an Elk?
“Hang
on tight”, You’re going for a ride, spoke a voice out of the Wind that
was accompanying me as I was straight out in mid air, hanging onto the
elk’s antlers for dear life. It has been a real ride every since that
dream.
There
have been TV programs, more books and songs being written and invitations
that I would have thought were impossible. I chose not to harness the Holy
Spirit power in my life. But along with that choice came some unexpected
changes.
There
is a price to pay for this choice and I’m paying it. Not everyone will
think highly of you. Not everyone will support you with encouragement. There
will be lies told on you. Some friends will turn and walk away. You will
find out what true loneliness is all about. You will find out who is a true
friend and it won’t take long.
There
is a friend that sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24.) That friend
is Jesus! Jesus said, that if they would hate him, they would hate you too.
He suffered for us. How can we expect not to suffer for him?
In
the harnessing process there will be some pain and suffering. As we learn to
take off the yoke, the restraints (the things that keep us tethered) and
allow the Holy Spirit to harness or manage our life we will see our
situation change for the good. Give
Jesus The Reign of your whole life and see how your state of affairs changes
all for your good.
And
on this spring day let the gentle wind of the Holy Spirit engulf you,
Have a
blessed day,
Janie T.
(1Pe
4:16) But if [one is ill-treated and suffers] as a Christian [which
he is contemptuously called], let him not be ashamed, but give glory to God
that he is [deemed worthy to suffer] in this name.
(1Pe
4:19) Therefore, those who are
ill-treated and suffer in accordance with God's will must do right and
commit their souls [in charge as a deposit] to the One Who created [them]
and will never fail [them].
