A
New Day with Janie T. (#01)
We
should make plans, counting on God to direct us.
Proverbs 16:9, TLB
Isn't
that good advice? It seems as though there are not enough hours in a
day to accomplish all that we want to get done. It appears as if the
world is going around a lot faster than it used to. So much to get done
in such a short length of time.
The
sixty-four million dollar question is: Do we take time to pray and
give thanks to the Lord for this new day? Do we seek God early in the
morning for his guidance, strength and direction?
I
learned a long time ago that if I would offer prayer and thanksgiving
with a grateful heart early in the morning before my feet ever touched
the floor that my entire day would go so much better. It not only had
a positive effect on me but everyone around me.
As
I read God's Word early, I also saw where many people in the Bible
would go to commune with the Lord early in the morning. They sought
God's protection, direction, they offered up prayer, worship, and
thanks to the Lord for His goodness, kindness, and mercy.
Remember
Psalms 118:24 tells us that everyday is a day that He has made and we
are to rejoice and be glad in that fact. If we will put God first in
the morning, He will put us first on His priority list every morning.
If
you have not tried this early morning adventure, try it. See if your day doesn't go better.
Have
a wonderful day!
Janie T.
