From a Mom's Heart - A Word to a Weary One
God
Has given me His Words of Wisdom so that I may know what I should say to
all these weary ones.
Morning
by morning He awakens me and opens my understanding to his will. The
Lord God has spoken to me and I have listened; I do not rebel nor turn
away.
Because
the Lord God helps me, I will not be dismayed; therefore, I have set my
face like flint to do His will, and I know that I will triumph.
Isaiah
50: 4,5, 7. TLB
Many years ago the Lord gave me this set of scriptures to carry
me through countless hardships that I would endure in the years ahead.
He also made it known to me that His Word [the Bible] was His
instruction for me; and that if I would follow hard after Him, that He
would bring me through life’s tough times and together we would
triumph over it all.
God’s promise to me was that morning-by-morning as I prayed He
would give understanding to His way of handling life’s simple and
difficult problems. It was
clear to me that this was not going to be an easy route to take, but, I
set my face like flint to do His will, and I knew that with the Lord’s
help I would triumph. And today, you can have peace about your future
and those whom you love. Trust Jesus and His word as I have.
I knew that in the smallest of detail the Lord was there for me.
In the most difficult times of marriage and rearing two sons, He was
there for me.
Psalms
139:1-5, says, O LORD, YOU have examined my heart and know everything
about me. You know
when I sit or stand. When far away you know my every thought. You chart
the path ahead of me, and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment,
you know where I am. You know what I am going to say before I even say
it. You both precede and follow me, and place your hand of blessing on
my head. This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe!

Yes, it sounds to wonderful to believe but I can say I am a
living example of God’s never-ending mercy and love. He is always here
for me when I cry out for help in making decisions whether it is for my
children or needs for everyday life.
If you are going through a test, trial or hardships of any kind
be encouraged today. Jesus love’s you and wants the best for you. And
if you say, “But Jane, I have prayed, done all I know what to do and
nothing is changing in my situation.” I do understand. But do know
this, God is seeing the place you are in and He knows you are weary. And
He will strengthen you.
Precious
one, just the other night the Lord came to me in a night vision. There
He let me see my spiritual condition. I saw myself in the dream in my
nightgown. I was so tired I couldn’t get up to shut the irrigation
water off. I tried with all my might to get up and couldn’t make a
muscle move. But, yet in my mind I knew that if I didn’t shut the
water off there would be great damage.
To
no avail, I could not get up. Every ounce of my strength was gone. I
could not help myself. The scene changed. There was already a room
filled with muddy water. Scene changed again. I was outside and saw that
there had been a major flood. My response was, “Oh someone shut the
water off for me.” When we
pass through deep waters and fire the Lord will be there to deliver us.
See Isaiah 43:2
To
make this very short, the Lord let me know that He saw the attacks of
the enemy in the past year and a half and that I couldn’t bear up
under anymore (See 1 Corinthians 10:13.) And it was “He” my MOST
HIGH GOD that shut the flood of the enemy attacks off. Their deceitful
mouths had set their own traps. The battle had been won. It was then
that I finally could see the light of a long dark tunnel.
As
David said in the Psalms concerning his heartache, it was good that he
was afflicted. When he cried out to the Lord, the Lord delivered him
from his affliction. It was
in the time of my affliction that I set my face like flint to do His
will regardless what came my way and I knew that I would triumph even
when it seemed I had lost all my strength.
This
was just a portion of the dream the Lord gave me. I shared enough of it
to let you know that you are very important to Jesus and HE wants to
strengthen you in your time of weariness.
The
hand of the Lord has strengthened me for my new assignment. I am ready
to go again. Are You?
