From Beauty Pageants To Prison
Jane hails
from the great state of Nebraska. She has spent most of her life in Idaho living
twelve years of it on a cattle ranch in the pristine Saw Tooth Mountains, where
crystal clear artesian springs freely flow. Beautiful little winding
Spring Creek, trickled over rocks and beaver dams a few feet from the old
log house in which her sons played in and fished as they grew up.
She
is still a farmer and a rancher at heart. Life on the farm and ranch was not
without hard work and many tough times. Jane
is currently living in southern Idaho on acreage with pasture and a garden, that
she calls the “farm and ranch.”
Life’s
seasons for so many reasons brings with it many heartaches and low self-worth,
but, Jane chose to take the wounds and scars of her past, and with God’s help,
turn them into seeds of HOPE for those who are still walking in the insanity of
their past.
Society’s
greatest need (PRISONS), opened a door for, a dream that lay dormant in her
heart for fifty years. And that dream was “doing music.” Her love for county
music and horses has spanned a lifetime.
Some
of her fondest memories are when she worked and prepared young women for beauty
pageants and other competitions. She served as a judge for many horsemanship
competitions and loved every moment of it.
Jane
has spent countless hours counseling and encouraging young people with hurting
hearts. Now she extends that compassionate love to the incarcerated around the
world.
Never
in her wildest imagination did she think that concerts, prisons in foreign
nations, and two TV programs would open to her - all through a song, words of hope, and
encouragement.
Jane
is now traveling the nations taking the good news of Jesus to a hurting world
and in spare time writing books and songs.
“I the Lord have called you to demonstrate my righteousness.
I will guard and support you, for I have given you to my people as the personal
confirmation of my covenant with them. You shall also be a light to guide the
nations unto me. You will open the eyes of the blind, and release those who sit
in prison darkness and despair. I am the Lord! That is my name, and I will not
give my glory to anyone else, I will not share my praise with carved idols.
…Sing a new song to the Lord… Isaiah 42: 6,7,8, and 10. TLB
If
there be any good thing come from my life, all glory goes to Jesus.
