MESSIAH,
I DIDN’T KNOW
If
only I had another lifetime to live
I would come to know you as a wee child.
At your feet I would learn to love you
And serve you all the days of my life.
Now
time is slipping away so fast.
Where has my youth gone?
Its gone forever here on earth
Oh where did precious time go?
Shades
were over my eyes blinding your existence.
Time has stolen those irretrievable moments
That I could have walked and talked with you.
But they are gone now never to return.
Now
all I have to offer you is a broken
Piece
of clay __and time __very little time.
I
give you my stubborn will, my fractured spirit
My pain and heartache__ my unbearable load.
Take
me __mend me __heal my shattered soul
Wash me __cleanse me from within.
Forgive me Messiah, my Lord
Thank you, now I am made whole.
Oh
__ now I will talk with you and I walk with you
And I will Dance for you. No more pain
No more heartache__ just PEACE
PEACE THAT PASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING.
OH
MESSIAH __MY MESSIAH __ I didn’t know you were HE
Who suffered __bled __and gave your life for me
On a cold wooden cross __ high on a mountain top
Overlooking the land of my people.
MESSIAH
__ MESSIAH-HOMASHEA__ I LOVE YOU
Note:
Many years ago I stood by the hospital bed of a dying Jewish lady. Many
had offered her life with Jesus but she chose to remain stubborn, cold,
and angry. I held her hand and silently prayed in the spirit as life
begun to ebb its way out of her tormented cancer laden body. Others were
there also and experienced the PEACE that permeated that little lady’s
withered body. A smile came across her lips and we knew that she had
chosen to receive her Messiah.
As
I sat by the bed, tears running down my face, the Lord dropped these
words into my heart for her family.
